Steve Morello of Egis Projects elected IBEC Chair, October 2006

At its Annual General Meeting on October 11, 2006 in London, U.K., the International Benefits, Evaluation and Costs (IBEC) Working Group elected Steve Morello of Egis Projects (France) as its new chair. Mark Carter of SAIC (USA) was elected Vice Chair. (See Message from the Chair, October 2006.) In addition, the group thanked outgoing chair Jane Lappin of the Volpe Center (USA) for her outstanding leadership during a challenging period for IBEC. Over the past year, the organization has restructured its Secretariat functions from a centralized system which received generous funding from the U.S. and U.K. Departments of Transport, to a more distributed model that accepts in-kind contributions from Management Committee members (see Memorandum to IBEC Members, May 2006).
